4Children have been commissioned by the Department for Work and Pensions to conduct the quality assessment for the Help and Support for Separated Families (HSSF) Mark and any organisation working with divorced or separated families is eligible to apply.
The HSSF Mark is part of the Department for Work and Pensions’ Help and Support for Separated Families project. Achieving the HSSF Mark will demonstrate an organisation’s commitment to working in collaboration with parents and will offer parents reassurance of the organisation’s commitment to working collaboratively.
Four elements make up the quality standard:
- Element One: The organisation has a vision/mission/strategic aim that includes the promotion of collaboration and reduction of conflict in the best interests of children.
- Element Two: The organisation consistently demonstrates its commitment to the promotion of collaboration and reduction of conflict.
- Element Three: The organisation is effective in the promotion of collaboration and reduction of conflict.
- Element Four: The organisation’s service users/clients/patients/callers/website visitors report positive, helpful, negative and unhelpful experiences that help the organisation redesign services to improve them.
4Children will be holding two launch events in London and Manchester to inform interested organisations and to answer any questions that may arise.
