The Department for Education has published the Level 2 Early Years SEND Qualification Specification
The intention of the qualification is to provide a small qualification with a focus on supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND) in the early years. It will be especially useful for CPD or as a top-up for level 2 practitioners who have a qualification achieved before the introduction of the level 2 early years practitioner criteria. This specification has been designed by early years experts and stakeholders supported by the Department for Education (DfE).
