EYFS reforms become statutory from today!

The reforms to the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) become statutory today (1 September 2021). All childminders, nurseries, pre-schools and primary schools in England must now follow the new EYFS framework.

We hope that you have had a great summer and are keeping well! We understand the impact the pandemic has had on settings and want to reiterate how much your hard work and dedication is appreciated as we move into the autumn.

Below you can find a range of guidance and resources to support implementation of the revised EYFS. Further resources will be published in the coming weeks and months.

Implementing the EYFS reforms is a process and no one is expected to get everything right from day one – the resources below have been developed to help you on that journey. Please take the time to provide feedback as the Department for Education (DfE) are really keen to respond to the sector’s needs: foundationyears@ncb.org.uk.
