Your local Family Information Service provides a range of information on all services available to parents, including parents of disabled children.

Family Information Services are run by local authorities, who set them up in different ways but they are all obliged to provide information, advice and assistance about childcare and other activities of benefit to parents, children and young people up to the age of 20. The sorts of enquiries they deal with include childcare, parent support, childminder registration, leisure, sports and arts, school admissions and special educational needs.
